Verbose

Verbose is a visual torrent where words overflow and matter speaks without ceasing. In this installation, thinkers and cherubs converse on a chessboard where the rules of the game are those of unbridled rhetoric: each piece argues, each move is an act of physical eloquence, each detail is a sentence that never quite finishes.

The guts of discourse are laid bare: mental indigestion becomes sculpture, thought becomes entangled in its own viscera. The work is a self-portrait of verbal excess, an ironic celebration of our inability to be silent, of the human need to fill silence with meaning, even if that meaning is, at times, pure beautiful noise.
